A lovely resort on the Exe estuary with some charming 17th and 18th century houses in the Strand, several built by Dutch merchants, there is also a rare king’s pin weigh beam.
To the northwest is Countess Weir, where the bridge spans the River Exe, is one of the oldest canals in England.
