Open: April to end October, daily 10am-6pm (6pm or dusk in October. November to March, daily 10am-4pm. Entry free; parking; dogs on leads only, wheelchair accessible
Remains of a 13th century abbey overshadowed by the grand Tudor gatehouse built when the abbey was converted into a mansion for the Earl of Southampton after the Dissolution. Reputedly some of Shakespeare's plays were performed here for the first time.
