URPoint Details
A large village on the main road west of Buckingham, Tingewick is dominated by the tall tower of its church. This tower is of the Perpendicular period. Much of the church is of the 13th century, and especially noteworthy is the small brass, dated 1608, of Erasmus Williams who was rector here. Between the village and the River Ouse is the site of a Roman Villa, probably of the 4th century.
