Thornham Magna - Four Horseshoes Country Inn
URPoint Details
Beautiful, thatched large open plan pub dating back to 1150 with exposed beams, dark furniture, crazy floors and a long panelled bar.
This is one of the most charming and cosy pubs in Suffolk, I ever had the pleasure of dining at. The meals are great and the service is excellent.
The bedrooms are fantastic with sloping beamed ceilings, one room has a Tudor chimney where the roof curves and slants down above pine furniture.
The country views from the little windows are magnificent.
Special rates apply for winter breaks.
If you have time look fir the tiny thatched church in Thornham Parva nearby.
Located between Norwich and Ipswich off A140. Leave Ipswich west on A45 for Bury St Edmunds, turn right onto A140. Or leave on B1077, turn right at Finningham pass thru Gislingham to Thornham Magna.
