URPoint Details
On farmland above the River Ouse and half a mile north of the Buckingham to Bletchley road, Thornborough is a sizeable village. At its centre is a 13th century church whose south wall displays good herringbone masonry. Along the Buckingham road over the Ouse is an impressive three arched medieval bridge, and nearby, is the site of two Roman burial mounds. The finds from one of these, opened in 1839, are now on display at the Cambridge Museum of Archaeology.
