URPoint Details
Hard to believe that this little village is only about 20 miles from the heart of London, originally it was a hamlet in the Forest of Essex, but the coming of the railway in 1865 changed all that. However, it still has a village pond on a large green with old oak trees and some charming old cottages.
Theydon is bordered on one side by Epping Forest and the railway line separates it from the agricultural land to the south.
