URPoint Details
The Pantiles was designed in 1638 with walking in mind, and still retains that today. Stroll among the many quaint little shops with their columns and sit beneath the magnificent lime trees. The pantiles was originally a grasses area known as The Walks and has from its earliest time been a fashionable promenade. Only 15 of the original pantiles remain, near the springs in Bath Square. You can still drink the medicinal waters from the springs.
