The Children's Country House at Sudbury Hall (NT) - Derbyshire

Open same days as Hall. Admission charge to Museum and Garden. Situated in the 19th century service wing of Sudbury Hall.

The Museum of Childhood contains fascinating and innovative displays about children from the 18th century onwards, but with particular emphasis on life in Victorian and Edwardian periods. There are chimney climbs for the adventurous 'sweep-sized' youngster. Betty Cadbury's fine collection of toys and dolls is displayed in the specially designed Toybox Gallery.
