URPoint Details
The parish church of St Mildred dominates the town, was built between the 12th and the 15th century, and rises more than 100ft above the ground and from the top there is a clear view across the Weald to the Channel coast.
At the base of the tower are the twin east and west doors of which there is only one other example in Kent (at Lydd) and four others outside the county.
