Tatton Park, (NT), 2m W, on the northern edge of Knutsford. Entrances at Knutsford and Rostherne (minor road off the A5034). Open all year. Admission charge; necessary companion for disabled visitor is admitted free; general car parking is some distance from each entrance.Cars displaying Orange Badge receive a concession on car park charges; Orange Badge holder spaces in Stableyard car park, close to Mansion and Gardens; Orange Badge parking also available close to Old Hall and farm entrances by prior arrangement. The Stableyard area gives access to Mansion, Gardens, Shop and Cafe, has uneven cobbled/flagged surface; steps to front entrance of mansion, alternative ramped entrance to rear of Mansion - ask staff for assistance; level access to ground floor; stairs to upper and lower floors; ramp to entrance of garden, step free to most areas; steps to formal and rose garden; loose/compacted gravel paths - wheelchair users may need assistance. Visits to Old Hall, by guided tour with grassy surface between entrance and Hall; level access to ground floor rooms (beginning and end of tour); steep steps to upper floors; very low lighting in some parts.
