An attractive village surrounded by wooded countryside, and there some delightful thatched cottages which is unusual in this part of England. The Fitzherbert Arms, which dates from Jacobean times looks onto the main street.
The part Norman church of St Mary has a fine carved tower arch and an 8ft high statue of Christ, believed to be late Norman and found in 1830 hidden in a family vault.
