Along the Winslow to Linslade road, is an attractive village with several old cottages, an Elizabethan manor house and, close to the church, the Deverell's farmhouse of 1632.
The church itself has a fine early 13th century chancel and, on the north wall, some wall paintings of about 1500, now barely recognisable.
On the south side of the village are the extensive grounds of Swanbourne House.
