St Peter and St Paul’s Church, dates from the 15th century and is one of the fine medieval churches in East Anglia. The west doorway is deeply recessed with a great window above and the south porch has its own hammer-beam roof. Inside the church there are fine arcading, double hammerbeam roof, with angels, open-winged at the ends of the brackets. The Pedlar of Swaffham together with his dog is carved at the end of the prayer desk. The church also possesses a large library of ancient books. The spire was added in the 18th century.
