A medieval market town, now a part of Birmingham but still retains its country charm with some 16th century stone houses designed by Bishop Vesey.
Old Moor Hall dates from the 15th century and to the southeast is New Hall an old restored moated house.
The 2000 acre Sutton Park to the west is one of the best natural parks in Britain, with woods, valleys and open moors.
