Open April to end-October, daily 2-5.30pm (except Wednesday). Bank Holidays in August, 10.30am-1pm & 2-5.30pm. April to October, weekends 10.30am-1pm & 2-5.30pm. March, November and December weekends 10.30am-1pm & 2-4.30pm. Closed over Christmas. Last admission 1 hour before closing. Admission charge; car park free. The Brew House & Courtyard comprises: Visitor Centre; shop; Brewhouse Tea and Coffee Room; Audio Visual Room and upstairs, the loft house a museum of the Manor and surrounding village of Sulgrave.

Disabled facilities: ground floor only. There is also a Brass Rubbing Centre where rubbings can be taken of Washington brasses and arms.

Sulgrave Manor was the early English home of ancestors of George Washington. The Manor was first mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086 and later belonged to the Priory of St Andrew, Northampton. The present house was built by Lawrence Washington whose descendants lived in it until 1656, when Colonel John Washington left England for the United States of America. He was the great grandfather of George Washington, the first President of the United States. The house is beautifully
