The Castle rooms and exhibitions are unsuitable for wheelchair users. A circular route around the gardens is wheelchair accessible although some visitors may require assistance from their companion.
The shop is open same times as gardens. Tearoom and restaurant picnic area special events and exhibitions are held frequently in the grounds; children's adventure playground, including - Fort Sudeley - complete with a swinging footbridge.
Sudeley Castle is one of England's most romantic and historic houses, with royal connections spanning 1000 years. The Tudor Castle set in the rolling Cotswold hills, was once the magnificent palace of Katherine Parr who is buried in the Castle Chapel.
Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey and Elizabeth I stayed at Sudeley, and Charles I's resided here, while Prince Rupert established the castle as his headquarters during the Civil War.
The Castle is the home of Lord and Lady Ashcombe. Visitors can see the bed in the house slept in by Charles I, Katherine Parr's prayer book and many fine paintings by Turner, Rubens and Van Dyck.
