URPoint Details
The pier on Loch Katrine is where the steamers stop and a short length of road connects by way of Loch Arklet with Inversnaid on Loch Lomond. Another road leads south towards the shores of Loch Chon and on to Aberfoyle.
A path leading northwest from the village gives access to the lonely house of Glengyle, in Glen Gyle on the Perthshire border the birthplace of the famous freebooter Rob Roy in 1671.
