URPoint Details
The name applies to the lovely wide lower valley of a rapid flowing salmon river.
The Upper Spey rise near the Monadhliath mountains and lower valley extends northeast between them and the Cairngorms.
The river then flows to Banff and the Moray border to reach the sea at Spey Bay.
