URPoint Details
Situated on the Water of Feugh near where it merges with the Water of Dye and flowing along the valley of Glen Dye and crossed by the well known road climbing over the Cairn o’Mounth.
To the west the extensive Forest of Birse and the lonely hills border Aberdeen and Angus.
West of Strachan is where the Gordons of Clunie once had the partly restored Birse Castle as their stronghold.
