URPoint Details
Immediately south of Aylesbury and with its own station on the rail route to Marylebone, lies Stoke Mandeville named after the village. Its hospital with its spinal injuries and burns centres has gained world-wide fame.
Of note in this growing residential village is Stoke House, an almost perfect example of an English country house of about 1700, the late 19th century parish church, and half a mile away, the original church, now sadly decayed.
