URPoint Details
For over 800 years Stifford was a small village with houses along the High Road, the church at the east end and the public house at the other end. Stage coaches on their way from Southend to London called at the Dog and Partridge (the village inn) as a staging post.
There are many charming thatched cottages, the church of St Mary’s and a pleasant village green.
