Church Rd, Stevington MK43 7SW, England
URPoint Details
St Mary’s Church, parts of which are 1,000 years old has on its front pews lustrous small wood carvings of men kneeling and drinking together with small animal figures believed to be some 600 years old.
The narrow slats in the church wall enabled lepers to peer into the church, and the Holy Well which they visited has never frozen or dried up and still springs forth from chalk under the churchyard walls.
