Iron age fortification.
The most extensive earthworks and the longest of its kind in the British Isles. It stretches for some 50 miles from Hampshire across Wiltshire and Northern Somerset to Dundury Hill. The earthworks, dating from Roman times, consist of a single bank for the ditch on the north side.
