Mostly wheelchair accessible. Whilst the House is fully accessible for manual wheelchairs, one of the lifts may not be able to accommodate some motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
On most Sundays cricket is played on the lawn. Take tea in the Pavilion Tea Room and visit the ancient Chapel and Walled Gardens.
Home of the Countess and late Earl of Bessborough, set in beautiful parkland surrounded by the ancient Forest of Bere.
The house contains a fine collection of paintings and family furnishings including three early 18th century tapestries. The lower floor of the house shows a true glimpse of Victorian 'below stairs' with its Housekeeper's Linen Room, China Pantry and well-equipped Kitchen.
