St Pauls’ Warden Church of All Saints
Reached through the park of Walden Bury, with its avenue of fine trees is the restored 14th century church
where Her Majesty the Queen Mother was baptised in the 15th century font. The chancel, remodelled in 1727 has a notable screen. It is a low flint church, with a magnificent tower. It has a south-east stair-turret and the thickness of the nave wall suggests that it is older than the 14th century windows. Other windows are Perpendicular, as is the nave clerestory. The chancel was remodelled in 1727, and is separated from the nave by a beautiful screen. In the tower window is a lovely 14th century figure of the Virgin, clad in brown and olive green, with the Child in red.
