URPoint Details
A small village, with notorious rocks known as the Manacles, which lie off the coast and which has taken a heavy toll on shipping over the centuries.
The spire of the 15th century church of St Akerveranus collapsed and was rebuilt in 1770 as a landmark for shipping.
To the northeast is the hamlet of Porthoustock, with Manacle Point to the southeast and the dreaded Manacles Rocks off-shore.
