Consecrated in 1242, this fine cruciform church largely dates from the 15th century and was restored between 1923 and 1926 as a war memorial.
It was here in 1559 the John Knox preached his momentous sermon urging the ‘purging of the churches from idolatry’.
The ‘Town Kirk’ of Perth, it is occasionally a venue for musical and dramatic productions.
