A picturesque village now on the edge of Cardiff itself is a delightful little place with whitewashed cottages some with thatched roofs sloping down the the River Ely.
The 16th century castle, built on the site of an earlier stronghold was owned by the Earls of Plymouth from 1730 until 1946 when it and 100 acres became an interesting Folk Museum.
