URPoint Details
There is a live musical performance of the various instruments with a descriptive commentary. The magnificent sounds of the mechanical organs by Mortier, Decap and Burgens can be heard together with Steinway and Weber pianos. There is a rare Mill Vilano, some lovely musical boxes and organettes. The two theatre organs housed at the museum are wonderful examples of craftsmanship. The Wurlitzer is a three manual organ with ten ranks of pipes and has an extensive percussion section. The second theatre organ has six ranks of pipes plus percussion played from the three manual console with its striking illuminated glass surround.
