Speyside Cooperage, Dufftown Rd. Open: early January to mid-December, Monday to Friday 9.30am-4.30pm. Also, Easter to September, Saturday 9.30am-4.30pm. Admission charge; exhibition; viewing gallery; gift shop; picnic area; wheelchair access and toilets. There is a bus stop from Elgin at the entrance. Award-winning working cooperage with unique visitor centre. See the highly skilled coopers and apprentices practising the ancient craft. Oak casks are repaired here which will be used to mature many different whiskies. Savour the sights, sounds and smells of the bustling workshops.
