URPoint Details
The three quarter mile long pier has a marine lake on which yachts, canoes and dinghy races are held and the gardens either side of the pier are very attractive.
In the late 18th century, William Sutton an innkeeper built the first bathing-hut on the beach which created a seaside resort.
