A lovely little village, bordered by the River Flitt and the River Ivel.
Southill House was once the home of the Byng family, whose famous, or infamous member was Admiral John Byng, executed on board his own ship in 1757.
The house was rebuilt for the Whitbread family in the late 1700's and the grounds were landscaped to the designs of the renowned landscape architect, Capability Brown.
