A village with two sandy beaches near the tip of Kintyre with views over to Northern Ireland.
A grassy knoll near the ruined chapel of Keil is the landing place in Argyll of St Columba AD521-97, who cane from Ireland with his disciples to convert the Picts.
To the north, the road to Campbeltown crosses the Conie Glen where the road ends at the head of Glen Breakerie, with a track leading down to the coast. Here under the slopes of Cnoc Moy rising to 1,426ft are some stalactite caves.
