URPoint Details
An island south of Benbecula 21 miles long with some beautiful freshwater lochs stocked with salmon and trout.
A good north-south road runs down the west coast.
North of Loch Eynort stands Ben Mhor at 2,034ft and Hecla at 1,988ft are great climbing mountains.
On the shore below Hecla is a cave where in 1746, Prince Charles Edward hid during his wanderings in the Western Isles.
