South Leigh - Church of St James the Great

St James Church is late 15th century, but the chancel, originally Norman, was extensively rebuilt in the 19th century.
There are some large original 15th century wall paintings, and 17th century painting of St Joseph and Child.

In 1725 John Wesley preached his first sermon here.
