URPoint Details
A well-known range of chalk hills, starting near Petersfield and crossing Sussex ending at the English Channel at Beachy Head by Eastbourne.
The hills are wooded in the west and bare in the east, the highest points being Butser Hill at 899ft and Duncan Down at 837ft. The hills are separated from the North Downs bt the Weald.
