URPoint Details
Close to the town of Linslade, a pleasing crossroads village, is Soulbury.
At its centre is the rather over restored but still interesting parish church, with an extensive array of brasses and monuments.
Also in the village is Lovett's School which dates from 1724.
A road leads from Soulbury, across the fields to Three Locks, an attractive stretch of the Grand Union Canal with a pub and a mill as canalside features.
In an extensive estate to the south, is Liscombe Park, a late 18th century brick mansion. This was the home of the Lovett family for several centuries. The family ceased to live there early this century. Three generations of the Bonsor family have lived there since, the present owner being Sir Nicholas Bonsor Bart. MP.
