URPoint Details
Solva appears at its best – a huddle of white, typically-Welsh cottages, hugging the along the half mile of coastland — from Gribin Head.
The village was favoured by smugglers, but this sheltered spot in otherwise rocky and inhospitable coastline, was soon sought out by locals ships carrying lime and coal.
Some disused lime kilns of 19th century still stand near the road bridge.
