URPoint Details
A beautiful, rocky wooded glen on the road between Crieff and Dunkeld with the River Almond running through it, and is one of the loveliest sights in the Perthshire hills. Overlooking the glen to the east is Dun Mor rising to 1,520ft which has a vitrified hill fort on its summit.
Below, between the road and the river is Ossian’s Stone, moved here by General Wade’s soldiers.
At the northern end of the glen at Newton Bridge the river leaves the road and flows west through the delightful valley of Glen Almond.
