URPoint Details
An industrial town of bricks and coal merged with Up Holland in the 19th century. There are some charming cobbled streets where a priory was founded in 1319 and is now part of the parish church.
The church is partly Decorated to Perpendicular in style, the nave is the chancel of the original monastic church. The tower dated from the 16th century, and the oak font is superb.
