Skaill House - Sandwick

Guided tours; gift shop; garden; WC; car park; disabled access. Skaill House is linked to the Skara Brae site by footpaths which can be used by visitors using wheelchairs.

The most complete 17th century mansion house in Orkney, was built for Bishop George Graham in the 1620s and successive lairds have added to the house over the centuries.
On show is Captain Cook's dinner service from his ship the 'Resolution', gun room with sporting and military memorabilia.
The house is surrounded by spacious gardens.
