Sir Joseph Banks, 1st Baronet, born at 30 Argyll Street, London on 24 February 1743, was an English naturalist, botanist and patron of the natural sciences and took part in Captain James Cook's first great voyage from 1768 to 1771.
He died on 19 June 1820 in Spring Grove House and was buried at St Leonard's Church, Heston
