Shottesbrooke - Church of St John the Baptist

St John the Baptist, located in the grounds beside Shottesbrooke Park is an impressive mid-14th century cruciform church with a tower and graceful spire.
The interior is well lit and airy with tombs, brasses, memorial tablets and fragments of old glass.
There is a fine canopied tomb of Sir William Trussell and his wife dated 1535 and a carved figure of William Throckmorton who was the last warden of the college.
