One of the most beautiful and situated at the head of the sea loch of Loch Duich near the clachan of Invershiel and in the heart of the Kintail Estate with over 15,000 acres including Ben Attaow at 3,383ft and the famous Five Sisters of Kintail dominated by Sour Ouran at 3,595ft.
The road descends from Glen Shiel between the Five Sisters to the east and the Saddle at 3,317ft to the west divide here and the eastern fork takes you to Dornie and the western fork takes you through the remarkable Mam Rattachan Pass on its way to Glenelg.
