URPoint Details
Situated at the coming together of the Rivers Usk and Senni, Sennybridge was mainly developed in the 19th century when the large sheep and cattle market was transferred here from Defynnog.
The sheep sales became a major event in the area started by Scottish farmers who bought large sections of sheep grazing in Fforest Fawr when it was sold in 1815, having been Crown property since the Middle Ages.
