URPoint Details
The border between Yorkshire and Cumbria rages on here, as the town could be in either county.
But wherever you might want to be this is a wonderful area with an old bridge, famous public school, a fine church backed by fells that are unique.
These, the Howgills are composed of the same rock as those found in the Southern Lake District, and are rounded in shape. Their sides are scarred with blue-black scree, their tops tawny with bracken and their flanks soft with spring grass.
