URPoint Details
This delightful old former Manse dates from 1840 and is a most comfortable and relaxing 'home from home' and where you will be made truly welcome by Elizabeth.
The rooms are all very tastefully furnished with the traditional tea tray with china crockery, linen napkins, fresh milk, a jug of water and best of all is the homemade shortbread or some other freshly bakes delicacy from Elizabeth's oven. Elizabeth is a superb cook with breakfasts and dinners being a hearty affair (you are most welcome to take a bottle or two to your table).
Elizabeth believes that with either the garden or the log fire to relax by, who needs Television when conversation is more interesting. The garden is a delightful place in which to relax with birds and red squirrels to watch fruit trees, herbs, shrubs and is a haven in the summer.
There are so many places of interest to explore including the beautiful Maxwelton House where 'Annie Laurie' was born or Drumlanrig Castle, home of the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry.
