URPoint Details
Just west of both the old and new routes of the A1 (the Great North Road), Sawtry is halfway between Huntingdon and Peterborough at the western most edge of the fens.
The site of a Romano-British settlement lies under the A1 but the village itself, appears quite modern and even its church of All Saints, far from being medieval, was erected only in 1880 to Bloomfield's designs.
