URPoint Details
A high lying model village of thatched cottages, an 18th century inn, and a small thatched church, and was formerly on the line of one of the Old Bath roads, but, owing to the hills involved, this route was later abandoned. The line of the Roman road in the vicinity had the later Wansdyke superimposed upon it.
