A little village with a pre-Roman ridgeway probably part of the route from maiden Castle to Cadbury Castle.
The church is mainly 13th to 15th century but restored in the 19th century.
The Elizabethan manor-house was built on earlier foundations, and is open set times throughout the year. Peacocks roam in the attractive garden.
